Elton Dean Meets the Wrong Object |
|
ELTON DEAN RIP - 1945-2006 Elton Dean passed away on the evening of February 7th in a London hospital due to heart and liver failure, on the day before he was to embark on a series of Soft Machine reunion gigs. Elton’s untimely death is a sad loss for many. It also puts an abrupt end to an exciting collaboration and a burgeoning friendship with The Wrong Object. The following footage from Elton’s recent Paris concert with the band will remain on our website as a tribute to Elton’s continuing inspiration and his willingness to collaborate with like-minded musicians around the globe after 40-odd years as one of the world’s best loved sax players.
